Di(12-hydroxystearoyl) oxoethylene titanate - Introduction
[Hydroxyetato (2-)-O1,O2]bis (AZO) is an organic titanium compound, also known as [HOAc-O1,O2] [Ti16OH(O18C36)2, its chemical formula is C36H70O10Ti.
The compound is a solid powder soluble in organic solvents, with a white or light yellow appearance. It is stable in air, but sensitive to moisture.
The main use of this compound is as a catalyst precursor and a catalyst component. It is often used to catalyze the esterification, epoxidation and isomerization of alcohols in organic synthesis reactions. It can also be used to prepare transparent or organic films with good weather resistance and mechanical properties.
The common method for preparing [hydroxyacetato(2-)-O1,O2]bis (O2) titanium is to combine titanium acetate (Ti(OC2H5)4) with hydroxy fatty acid ester with 1: the molar ratio of 2 is reacted in an organic solvent. The reaction temperature and time can affect the yield and purity of the compound.
When using [acxyetato (2-)-O1 and O2]bis (titanium), the following safety precautions are required:
1. It should be away from flame and heat source, avoid contact with open flame.
2. Thoroughly seal the container to avoid moisture ingress.
3. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during operation, such as chemical protective glasses, gloves and protective clothing.
4. Avoid inhalation or contact with the skin, such as inadvertent contact should immediately rinse with plenty of water.
5. In the use or handling process to maintain good ventilation.
6. Waste disposal shall comply with local regulations and deliver the waste to a qualified disposal organization.
